About
Throughout Amy's career, she has developed a passion for working with patients who are faced with neurological and medical conditions affecting their speech, communication, cognitive, and swallowing ability. After realizing there was a growing need for specialized speech therapy services in the surrounding communities, Amy established Continuum Speech Therapy.
Amy's mission is to provide person-centered therapy aimed at achieving maximal function and treatment outcomes. She believes that the rehabilitation process should not end once a patient is discharged home from the hospital or rehab setting. Amy's goal is to continue providing speech-language, cognitive, and swallowing intervention so that the individual can maintain their social lives and strengthen their daily interactions, as well as improve their performance for daily routines and activities. She feels strongly that including patient's families throughout the process is an integral part of therapy, and that developing strong relationships with her patients and their family members is essential for success.
